A fine system.

Sweet tubes, turntable… Umm, Pagode rack… so expensive! Hadn’t seen that Thorens shape before!

“Handle with care”. Just spotted some gear in a local hi-end store in #Barcelona. Shown HIFiMan HE-5 and , bulky, beautiful, sweet valve amp. (Brand unknown. Any guess?) #audiophile

God! What a sweet beast! You do not need central heating with a pair of those!

I recently got the chance to talk to Roger Gibboni. His credentials are long and impressive. He designed and manufactured high tech communications and radar equipment for NASA, the Department of Defense, GE and RCA just to name a few. Speaking to him makes one realize how smart some people are. It’s humbling to say the least.
He decided to dip his feet into the world of hifi and started Rogers High Fidelity. The integrated tube amp in the picture is the EHF-100. That was designed from the ground up by him. No outsourcing, no exploitation of foreign labor, no cutting corners on materials, none of that. This is hand made in New York. The build quality is incredible. It uses an aviation grade aluminum chassis and military grade capacitors. We listened to it with DeVore Fidelity Nine speakers, and we were completely blown away. I’m not easily impressed either.

Sweet valves! I want one! ;))
